None of the Underground stations serving Chiswick have step-free access. TfL
and the Mayor of London have no plans to introduce step-free access to any
of Chiswick’s stations. I believe this is wrong and unfair.
People with mobility needs are effectively locked-out of Chiswick’s public
transport network. Wheelchair users, the elderly, people temporarily using
crutches; all these and many others are unable to access local Tube services.
How many people have decided not to move to Chiswick at all because of this?
This is about fairness. It’s just noT right that a place the size of Chiswick has no
step-free access. We must lobby the Mayor and get him to change his mind on
this. If you agree, please sign our petition.
