Friday 1 st May: In many respects councillor work outside of meetings continues much as normal, at least on the surface. I follow up with a council tenant who has been without her boiler since the beginning of the month.
As someone designated by the NHS as a “shielded” candidate I've found it difficult to adjust to the related restrictions. As a distraction both my garden and allotment are now in pristine condition. The weather has been quite remarkable too.
The Easter holidays are over, and schools are back (online at least) for the summer term. Parliament has returned from recess to continue to uphold its constitutional functions that have remained unbroken since the time of the Black Death in 1349.
